The Right Way To Play Branding & Jersey Design
In 2019, I served as Art Director and led the development of a comprehensive identity system for The Right Way To Play (TRWTP) Basketball Program. Since then, I have produced various communication design assets, including jersey designs and promotional videos. The core visual element is a seal featuring a silhouette of the founder and head coach shooting a three-pointer, embodying a clean and timeless aesthetic. This primary seal can be adapted for smaller applications by focusing solely on the shooter and ball. Additionally, the program’s name is often abbreviated as TRWTP for versatility. The brand design was intentionally crafted to honor and revive the silver and black legacy associated with the Oakland Raiders, following their departure from the Bay Area in 2020.
Social Media & Official Letterhead (select)
The grid system for social media and official letterhead assets were created to have a loose but structured approach. The header stays intact unless there is an image used as a focal point. In that case, the type can sit on top of the image centered (above) or be used as a background texture (on right).
Jersey Design
In 2023 Coach Lavar took the program to Fairfield, Ca. He also took on the role as Head Coach for the Fairfield High School Girls Basketball Team. I rebranded and overhauled everything, including the color palette for TRWTP.
