Rare Breed Companies Branding & Marketing

Rare Breed Companies is a Natural Health Supplement brand I helped brand in 2019. We are a team of natural health and regulated cannabis industry veterans who use the products we produce daily. We know 1st hand that natural therapies like Cannabis/Hemp, Mushrooms, and Nootropics are safe and effective. We have seen firsthand how the corporatization of cannabis has led to a precipitous drop in the quality and efficacy of infused products while also being prohibitively expensive at dispensaries.

A narrow-minded view that consumers of natural health products are lazy, dumb, burnouts/hippies, has consumed major companies who put profit above product efficacy, reducing consumer well-being to a spreadsheet.

Frustrated with the lack of access to non-psychoactive full spectrum products to the general public, the quality of products available outside dispensaries, and the prohibitive costs, and taxes on state-regulated products, Rare Breed was born.

The branding for Rare Breed Companies was simple. We wanted a typeface that was bold and a mark that showed our love for both science and cannabis.

Additionally, a monogram design was created for merch and other spot locations (clover design/packaging).
